The order, issued by District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, prohibits the operation of drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/UAS), paragliders and other aerial devices within the notified areas. The temporary restriction has been imposed as part of enhanced security arrangements for Bhagwat’s engagements in the city.
Bhagwat is scheduled to attend the three-day Akhil Bharatiya Pranta Pracharak Baithak, beginning on July 10, besides holding a series of meetings with leaders and representatives of various organisations. According to RSS sources, the meeting will bring together full-time pracharaks, senior office-bearers, national leaders and representatives from 11 zones, 46 regions and 32 affiliated organisations from across the country.
The no-fly restrictions cover a two-kilometre radius around the Foundry Cluster Guest House at Angol Industrial Area, Sant Meera School in Sahyadri Colony, Bhagyanagar Extension, and Shri Jagannathrao Joshi Smarak Bhavan on Goods Shed Road. These locations have been designated as Red Zones, where the operation of drones and other unmanned flying devices is strictly prohibited during the notified period.

Officials said the restrictions are aimed at ensuring the smooth conduct of Bhagwat’s visit and maintaining public safety. Belagavi Police Commissioner Bhushan Borse has been tasked with enforcing the order, and authorities have warned that violations will invite legal action under the BNSS and other applicable laws.
The upcoming RSS meeting assumes significance as it will bring together the organisation’s top leadership to discuss key organisational matters and future programmes.
