The move follows complaints from Ganeshotsav organisers about delays and difficulties in obtaining approvals from multiple departments, including the police, Belagavi City Corporation, Forest Department, KSPCB and HESCOM.

Under the new system, applications and permission-related formalities will be available at a single location at each police station, reducing the need for organisers to approach different departments separately.

The initiative is aimed at simplifying and speeding up the permission process for Ganeshotsav pandals in the city.

Vikas Kalaghatgi, public relations head of the Central Public Ganeshotsav Mahamandal, welcomed the move and said the single-window system would make the process more convenient for organisers.
