Belagavi: The city administration has stepped up efforts to develop an IT park in Belagavi and create more local employment opportunities for youth.

At a meeting of the Belagavi Urban Development Authority (BUDA), officials were directed to prepare the required framework and speed up the action plan for the proposed IT park.
The meeting also focused on preparing a comprehensive master plan keeping in mind Belagavi’s future needs. Priority was given to improving traffic management, developing smart circles, upgrading roads and parks, and strengthening other urban infrastructure.
The initiative aims to make Belagavi a more attractive, well-planned and organised city while positioning it as a major centre for employment generation.
BUDA chairman and MLA Asif Sait, PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi, Belagavi South MLA Abhay Patil, Deputy Mayor Hanumanth Kongali and other elected representatives, officials and leaders attended the meeting.
