Belagavi: Construction of the proposed flyover aimed at reducing traffic congestion in the city is set to begin in October, Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Roshan said.

The tender process has been completed, and the administration is making preparations to start the construction work. Measures will also be taken to minimise inconvenience to commuters and manage traffic during the construction period.
Officials said special attention will be given to protecting trees along the flyover route. If any trees need to be moved for the project, they will be scientifically transplanted in coordination with the Forest Department.
The flyover is expected to improve traffic movement on key roads and help commuters save time and fuel. The administration has said that environmental protection will be given equal importance alongside the development project.
Authorities are now working on traffic-management arrangements and other preparations so that construction can begin in October with minimal disruption to the public.
