Belagavi, March 4: Tension prevailed at the District Court in Belagavi on Tuesday morning after court officials received an email threatening a bomb blast on the premises.

Acting swiftly, a police team led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Narayan Baramani rushed to the spot. All court halls and advocates’ chambers were evacuated within minutes as a precautionary measure. The city’s dog squad was also deployed, and sniffer dogs thoroughly checked the court complex.
After an extensive search operation, police confirmed that no suspicious objects were found and the threat was a hoax.
Authorities have launched an investigation to trace the source of the email.
