Belagavi, July 7: Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will visit Belagavi on Thursday, July 9, marking his first visit to the district since assuming office.

During the visit, Shivakumar will hold a regional progress review meeting at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha to assess the performance of various government departments under the Belagavi Regional Division. He is expected to review ongoing development works and issue necessary directions to officials to ensure effective implementation of government programmes.
As per the official itinerary, the Chief Minister will depart from Bengaluru by a special flight and arrive at Sambra Airport at 10:10 a.m. From there, he will travel by road to Suvarna Vidhana Soudha, where he is scheduled to reach at 10:30 a.m. and preside over the review meeting.
Officials said Shivakumar is also likely to stay overnight in Belagavi following the day’s engagements.
The visit is expected to focus on accelerating development projects and improving coordination among departments in the Belagavi Regional Division.
