Belagavi, October 9, 2024: Officials decided to celebrate Karnataka Rajyotsava on November 1 with great splendor in Belagavi. Even though the date coincides with Diwali, the district administration confirmed that the Rajyotsava procession will go ahead as planned. Youth organizations proposed postponing the event to November 3, but Kannada activists, including Ashok Chandargi and Ramesh Sontakki, strongly opposed this idea.
