Shettar said that important works — including the Belagavi–Kittur–Dharwad new railway line, Smart City CITIIS 2.0 solid-waste management project, the AMRUT 1.0 sewage treatment plant near Halaga, and lake rejuvenation planned under AMRUT 2.0 — have all been stalled because the state has not provided its required financial share.

He also highlighted that the Tourism Department has not responded to his request seeking administrative approval for the development of Yellamma Gudda in Saundatti.
Urging Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to intervene, Shettar said the state must immediately release pending funds to ensure timely completion of central government schemes in Belagavi.
