Belagavi, January 4, 2025: Efforts to ensure the unveiling of the Sambhaji Maharaj statue on January 5, as scheduled, are gaining momentum. MLA Abhay Patil announced that elders from Angol and representatives of 35 youth organizations will meet Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan and Police Commissioner Lada Martin on Saturday to demand approval for the event.

He contrasted this with the government’s recent installation of banners for Mahatma Gandhi’s 1924 Congress session centenary, which faced no opposition.
