The bus services has been stopped since today morning on the ongoing border issue (language) . Nitin Hegde informed that the ongoing issue has increased, as one of vehicle belonging to Maharashtra was blackened in Belagavi which aggravated the tension between the two regions.
Leaders of Maharashtra are demanding for merging of the regions as most of them are dominated by the Marathi speaking people specially Belgaum.
The increased tension has lead to an rage of anger wherein the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike activists blackened and removed signs, and hoardings which were in Marathi language. Meanwhile some of the leaders alleged that the Marathi people residing are being victimized and has requested Maharashtra CM to visit and support.
