Belagavi Boxers Win Big at State Championship

Belagavi, June 12, 2025:
Belagavi’s junior boxing team delivered a brilliant performance at the 6th Junior Boys & Girls Karnataka State Boxing Championship, held from June 9 to 11 at the BBMP Indoor Sports Complex in Vidyaranyapura, Bengaluru.
The event featured top talents from across the state. However, Belagavi’s boxers stood out with their skills, determination, and teamwork.

Boys’ Category:
- 🥇 Gold Medals: Prajwal Tigadi, Sudeep Masuti, Niranjangouda Patil, Kedar Dangarle
- 🥈 Silver Medals: Pritham Shettar (also awarded Best Loser), Shreyas Bekane
Girls’ Category:
- 🥇 Gold Medal: Priya Shettar (awarded Best Boxer)
- 🥈 Silver Medal: Pratiksha Kamble
Altogether, the team secured five gold and three silver medals, clearly showcasing Belagavi’s rising strength in state-level boxing.
🏆 Selected for National Championship
Following their strong performance, six Belagavi boxers have been selected to represent Team Karnataka at the upcoming 6th Junior National Boxing Championship. The national event will take place in Rohtak, Haryana, from June 19 to 25, 2025.
The selected athletes are:

- Sudeep Masuti
- Niranjangouda Patil
- Kedar Dangarle
- Priya Shettar
