International wrestler Atul Suresh Shirole from Muchandi, Belagavi, has been appointed as the Chief Coach of the Indian wrestling team for the International Wrestling Championship 2026 to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from January 12 to 17.
The championship is being jointly organized by the International Olympic Committee and the World Federation of Mission Olympic Games Association (MOGA). Shirole was selected based on his strong performances in state, national, and international competitions, along with recommendations from the State Mission Olympic Games Association and in line with MOGA guidelines.

Hailing from a family with a rich wrestling tradition, Atul Shirole has brought recognition to Belagavi through his achievements. His appointment has been welcomed by the wrestling community and sports enthusiasts alike.
