Belagavi city’s Malamaruti police have arrested a man for allegedly stealing electronic items belonging to Amazon and other companies. The arrest follows a complaint lodged by Praveen Padmaraj, an authorized distributor of Amazon.

According to the complaint, multiple electronic goods were stolen from Belagavi Auto Nagar between June 14 and August 2, 2025. Acting on the information, police registered a case and arrested the accused, identified as Shubham Shashikant Dinde (29), a resident of Shivajinagar, Belagavi.
Police revealed that the accused is a former employee of Amazon. During the investigation, officers recovered 18 smartphones, one tablet, five smartwatches, a gimbal, AirPods, and headphones. The total value of the seized electronic items is estimated at ₹4,49,321.
Further investigation is underway.
