According to the corporation, daily waste generated in homes, commercial establishments and industries must be separated into four categories — wet waste, dry waste, sanitary waste and special care waste. Special care waste includes items such as bulbs, batteries, expired medicines, paint containers and similar materials.

The civic body has urged citizens and traders to cooperate with the corporation in ensuring effective waste management and maintaining cleanliness across the city.
In the notice, the City Corporation Commissioner warned that those violating the waste segregation rules will face penalties and legal action as per regulations.
