Speaking after performing the Bhoomi Puja, the Minister said the barrage will ensure water availability for most months of the year and help increase groundwater levels in nearby wells and borewells. He expressed confidence that the project would support stable agricultural yields and improve the livelihood of farmers in the region.

Jarkiholi also instructed officials to complete the work within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining quality standards.

Senior officials, including ITBP 44th Battalion Chief S. Junaja, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan, Police Commissioner Borase Bhushan Gulbarao, and Zilla Panchayat CEO Rahul Shinde, were present at the event.
