₹1,356 Cr Aerospace Investment Boost for Belagavi

Belagavi: In a major push to industrial growth, the State High Level Clearances Committee (SHLCC), chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has approved 11 new and six additional investment proposals worth ₹18,430.44 crore across Karnataka. These projects are expected to generate around 15,032 jobs in the State.

Out of this, 11 new proposals account for ₹14,906.9 crore investments and 13,050 jobs, while six additional proposals will bring ₹3,523.54 crore and create 1,982 jobs.

Among the key projects, M/s Aerostructures Manufacturing India Private Limited will invest ₹1,356 crore in Belagavi, creating around 1,350 jobs in the aerospace sector, giving a significant boost to the region’s economy.

Other major investments include ₹1,500 crore by Volvo Group India Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru Rural (1,700 jobs), ₹1,028 crore by River Mobility Pvt. Ltd. in Kolar (900 jobs), along with ₹1,000 crore each in the solar sector in Chikkaballapura and in the automobile and aerospace sectors in Bengaluru.

Officials said these investments will strengthen Karnataka’s industrial ecosystem, with Belagavi emerging as a key hub in the aerospace sector.
