Farmers Protest Against Parking Terminal on Fertile Land in Belagavi

Belagavi, October 9, 2024: Farmers from Kadoli and Agasaga villages are protesting the government’s plan to build a parking terminal along the Ring Road in Belagavi. They believe the terminal will destroy fertile land, which they depend on for their livelihood. In a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, the farmers stressed the importance of the land for their farming. They warned that the construction would severely reduce their income. The farmers urged authorities to reconsider the location to avoid harming their agricultural resources.

The farmers also accused the National Highways Authority of proceeding without informing them about the land acquisition.
