Belagavi, October 15: Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Satish Jarkiholi conducted an extensive inspection of road networks in the Khanapur and Kittur Assembly constituencies today. The visit aimed to assess the current condition of major routes and ongoing development works in the region.

During the inspection, Minister Jarkiholi reviewed the progress of repair and development works. He instructed officials to speed up the pending projects. The Minister said that better road connectivity is vital for local development, trade, and daily travel convenience.
“The department must complete road works within the given time. Good roads ensure smooth travel and support regional growth,” he stated.
He also directed officials to identify damaged stretches that need urgent repair. Immediate steps should be taken to ensure public safety, especially in rural areas affected by heavy rain.
Kittur MLA Babasaheb Patil, Khanapur MLA Vitthal Halagekar, and KUDA Chairman Yuvraj Kadam joined the Minister during the inspection. Local leaders and PWD officials were also present.
The inspection highlights the government’s focus on improving infrastructure and ensuring better connectivity across the Belagavi district.
