According to the authority, cattle and other animals roaming freely around the temple complex have caused inconvenience and safety concerns for pilgrims visiting the famous shrine. Officials said incidents of devotees being knocked down or frightened by aggressive animals have been reported in recent months, creating fear among women, senior citizens and children.
The authority noted that more than one million devotees visit the Shri Renuka Yellamma Temple every year, and the presence of stray animals has also affected cleanliness and discipline in the temple area.

In a public notice, authority secretary Prabhavati Fakirpur directed animal owners to remove their cattle from the temple premises and nearby areas within seven days. After the deadline, the animals will be treated as strays and action will be taken under public nuisance laws, including confiscation.
Officials said the initiative is aimed at ensuring safety, hygiene and smooth movement of devotees, especially during peak pilgrimage days and the annual Yellamma fair.
