Belgaum, Mar. 2, 2023 (Karnataka News): It is a pleasure to install the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a unique leader of the country who fought bravely for the protection of Hinduism. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. said that an additional grant of Rs 5 crore will be released for the comprehensive development of Rajhans Gad fort.
He spoke while unveiling the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Rajhans Gad Fort premises at the compound of District Administration, Kannada, and Culture Department and KRIDL, Tourism Department on Thursday (March 2).
He said that this grant will be used to supplement the development of Rajhans Gad fort by constructing a community hall, rest house, and other basic facilities and converting it into a tourist destination.
Release of grant for fort development:
In 2008, CM Yeddyurappa sanctioned Rs 14 crore for the development of Rajhans Gad Fort. Janardana Reddy was the Minister of the Tourism Department then. As a result of the efforts of MLA Sanjay Patil, a grant was released to provide infrastructure in the fort premises.
He informed me that an additional grant of 5 crores will be released in addition to the grant already earmarked for the development of the fort.
Rajhans Gad is amazing fort. It is a fort that exudes the past glory and culture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The idol has been installed as per the personality of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He said that the development of the fort will be carried out in the coming days.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who fought for Dharma Rakshana:
Everyone knows the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He is the greatest leader this country has ever seen. Under the rule of the Mughals and foreigners, they fought against the great empire of the Mughals to build a Hindu empire.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was a great leader who learned all kinds of education and arts under the inspiration, blessings, and guidance of his mother Jijabai. He said that they were gentlemen who fought continuously for the survival of Hinduism and the kingdom without going out for their selfishness.
He showed his army that they have strength in arms along with the confidence to defeat the giant army of foreigners with courage, bravery, and courage. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai recalled the history that he fought many wars, fought for the survival of the country through his prowess, and built many forts.
Earlier, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai started the program by banging the Nagari and garlanding the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
District In-charge Minister Govind Karajol, MP Mangala Angadi, Belgaum South Constituency MLA Abhay Patil Gokak MLA Ramesh Jarakiholi, Belgaum North Assembly Constituency MLA Anil Benake, Belgaum Regional Commissioner MG Hiremath Kannada and Culture Department Deputy Director Vidyavati Bhajantri were present.
District Collector Nitesh Patila welcomed. Nadgeeta was presented by Vinayak More and his team. Basavaraj Kuppasagowda presented the program and thank everyone present there.
Hundreds of people including the villagers of Rajahans Gad participated in the program.
