In a move to benefit property owners, the Belagavi City Corporation (BCC) has extended the deadline for availing a 5% rebate on full payment of property tax for the financial year 2026–27 until May 31.

The decision aims to encourage taxpayers to clear their dues in full while taking advantage of the discount offered by the civic body.
Belagavi City Corporation Commissioner Karthik M has urged property owners within the municipal limits to make use of this extended period to pay their property taxes and avail the rebate. He also appealed to citizens to contribute towards the development of the city by ensuring timely tax payments.
The extension is expected to provide relief to taxpayers and improve overall tax collection for civic development works.
