Belagavi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for the next four days across several parts of Karnataka, including Belagavi, due to a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the IMD, Belagavi, Dharwad, Bagalkot, Yadgir, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Chitradurga, and Davanagere districts have been placed under a yellow alert, while Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Kodagu, and Kolar are under an orange alert until October 30.
The weather department has also forecast light to moderate rainfall in North Karnataka districts such as Bidar, Haveri, Gadag, Koppal, and Raichur over the coming days.
Residents are advised to remain cautious as cloudy skies, occasional heavy showers, and cooler temperatures are expected to prevail in Belagavi and surrounding regions.
