Belagavi: Dr. Prasad Rampure has officially assumed charge as the new Registrar of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi.

Before taking on this new role, Dr. Rampure was serving as the Principal of KLE Engineering College, Chikkodi. He brings with him over 17 years of teaching experience in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KLE Dr. M.S. Sheshgiri Engineering College, Belagavi.
He also served as the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at KLE Engineering College, Chikkodi, for four years, and later as the Principal of the same institution for the past seven years.
A life member of KLE Society, Dr. Rampure has been an active contributor to the academic community. He also served as a member of the VTU Executive Council for three years, adding valuable administrative experience to his profile.
His appointment as the VTU Registrar marks a significant step in the university’s continued focus on academic excellence and leadership.
