To facilitate the completion of the partially constructed Kusmalli Bridge over the Malaprabha River, authorities have activated a traffic diversion near the site. This temporary route is expected to ensure smooth vehicle movement while construction progresses.

PWD officials confirmed that relaying work on damaged stretches along the Belagavi–Goa corridor via Chorla will begin soon. Executive Engineer Rajendra stated that multiple teams have been deployed to speed up both the bridge completion and road restoration efforts.

The department aims to finish the work at the earliest to restore safe and efficient connectivity between Belagavi and Goa.
