Indian Army Commando Course Concludes at Belagavi

The prestigious Commando Course of the Indian Army concluded at the Jungle and Jungle Warfare Wing (JL Wing), Belagavi, on December 25, 2025. The course is regarded as one of the Army’s most mentally gruelling and physically demanding training programmes.

A total of 16 officers and five Non-Commissioned Officers from the Indian Army and Friendly Foreign Countries successfully completed the course, highlighting strong military-to-military cooperation with partner nations.

Lt Jai Lamba of the Rajput Regiment was adjudged the Best Officer Trainee among Indian Army participants, while Lance Naik Jeewan Singh Karki of the Naga Regiment was named Best NCO Trainee. Among foreign participants, Lt Sudip Khadka of the Nepal Army was awarded Best Officer Trainee, and Corporal Evalistus Booysen of the Namibia Defence Force was named Best NCO Trainee.

The valedictory address was delivered by Maj Gen Rakesh Manocha, SM, VSM, Commander JL Wing, who congratulated the trainees for their resilience, grit, and high level of combat readiness. The successful completion of the course reaffirms the Indian Army’s commitment to elite training, joint learning, and international military cooperation.
