The protesters took out a march from Rani Chennamma Circle to the Deputy Commissioner’s office and submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan, urging the authorities to consider their demands. They warned that an indefinite strike would be launched if their demands are not met.

Association president Mansoor said the minimum fare should be fixed at ₹50 for up to 1.5 km and ₹30 per additional kilometre. He stated that the rising prices of diesel and essential commodities have made it difficult for auto drivers to manage their livelihoods and demanded that drivers be taken into confidence before any fare-related decision is made.
The association also demanded a ban on illegally operating electric autos in Belagavi and sought an increase in the permitted operating radius for auto rickshaws from the existing 16 km to 30 km. Several association members, including B.K. Avarolli, were present during the protest.
