Speaking to reporters after a meeting at the Belagavi Urban Development Authority office, Mr. Jarkiholi said election officials had informed him that they had not received any directions to delete names from the voter list. He added that the revision exercise is expected to continue until 2028.
The Minister said Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have completed nearly 70% of the voter name mapping process. They are conducting door-to-door visits to verify the details of voters who participated in the previous elections. He emphasized that officials have been instructed to ensure that no eligible voter is excluded from the rolls.

Responding to a query, Mr. Jarkiholi said he had received a memorandum from the Hakki Pikki tribal youth association regarding migrant tribal communities allegedly not receiving voting rights in the district. He said he has directed Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan to ensure that all eligible members of tribal communities are included in the electoral rolls.
The Minister expressed confidence that BLOs and other officials would carry out the process fairly and prevent any injustice to voters.
