DJ Sound Systems Banned Across Belagavi District

Belagavi: The Belagavi district administration has imposed a ban on the use of high-volume loudspeakers and Disc Jockey (DJ) sound systems across the district.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan has issued an order prohibiting DJ systems and sound amplification devices that generate excessive noise during festivals, religious events, processions, and public programmes.

According to the order, sound systems producing noise levels above 75 decibels will not be allowed. The restrictions will be strictly enforced during night hours between 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Officials have also been authorised to seize equipment and register cases against individuals or organisers who violate the order.

The district administration said the decision was taken to maintain public peace, protect public health, and ensure law and order across Belagavi district.
