During the meeting, officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) informed that 4 km of the 9 km Halaga-Machhe bypass road has already been completed, while service road works are currently underway. The remaining work is expected to be completed soon.

Officials also discussed the progress of the Belagavi-Hunagund-Raichur highway project. Land acquisition work for both Package-1 and Package-2 is progressing, with compensation already distributed to farmers. Authorities stated that the project is targeted for completion by February 2027.

The meeting further reviewed the proposed Belagavi-Kittur-Dharwad railway line project. Officials said delays in the release of funds from the state government could slow down the progress of land acquisition and construction works.

Authorities were also directed to expedite the second lane work near the Tilakwadi railway crossing in Belagavi.

Regarding airport development, officials informed that land from the Air Force is required for the construction of a parallel taxi track at Belagavi Airport.
