Belagavi, June 9: Belagavi MP Jagadish Shettar has welcomed the sanction of ₹15 crore under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) for the improvement of three major roads covering approximately 22 kilometres in the Belagavi Lok Sabha constituency.

The funds have been approved by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari following a proposal submitted by Shettar seeking financial assistance for road repair and development works in the constituency.
The approved projects include:
- Desur–Nandihalli–Kukadolli Road (12 km): ₹8 crore
- Bijagarni–Kavalewadi–Janewadi–Karle–Bahaddurwadi–Kiniye to SH-54 Road (5 km): ₹4 crore
- Chivatgundi Cross to Chivatgundi Road, Bailhongal Taluk (5 km): ₹3 crore

Shettar stated that he had earlier met the Union Minister in New Delhi and submitted proposals for nine road development works covering around 80.33 km, with an estimated cost of ₹86.40 crore.
Expressing gratitude, the MP thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for their continued support towards strengthening road infrastructure and improving connectivity across the Belagavi region.
