Belagavi, June 16: IndiGo has suspended one of its two daily flights on the Bengaluru–Belagavi–Bengaluru route, citing rising aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices and operational constraints. The change came into effect on June 16, reducing the service to a single daily flight.

Under the revised schedule, flights will operate in the morning on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, departing Bengaluru at 6:50 am and arriving in Belagavi at 8:20 am. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the flight will operate in the evening, leaving Bengaluru at 5:55 pm and reaching Belagavi at 7:25 pm.
The reduction has sparked concern among business travellers, students, government officials and tourists who rely on flexible travel options between the two cities. The earlier schedule, with both morning and evening flights, allowed convenient same-day travel and better connectivity for onward journeys.

Passengers fear the revised schedule could lead to limited seat availability and reduced travel flexibility. Industry observers note that Belagavi has seen steady growth in air passenger traffic in recent years, increasing demand for connectivity with Bengaluru.
Frequent flyers and local stakeholders have urged IndiGo to restore the second daily flight once operational costs ease and demand conditions improve.
