Belagavi: Belagavi City Corporation Mayor Preeti Kamkar and Commissioner Karthik M. on Thursday inspected preparations for the upcoming Ganesh Utsav and reviewed arrangements along key idol procession routes in the city.

The inspection began at Kapileshwar Pond, a major Ganesh idol immersion site, where the Mayor, Commissioner and corporators offered prayers and formally reviewed the arrangements.
The officials later inspected several important procession routes, including Chennamma Circle, Samadevi, Maruti and Ganapati Galli, Ramaling Khind Galli, Sambhaji Road, Tilak Road, Hemu Kalani Chowk and Market areas.
Mayor Preeti Kamkar directed the L&T, HESCOM and other concerned departments to work round the clock to complete preparations. She instructed officials to fill potholes, maintain cleanliness and ensure proper management of electrical lines along the procession routes.
Commissioner Karthik M. said all works identified during a preparatory meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner have been assigned to the concerned departments and instructed to be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
The officials said efforts are being made to ensure a smooth and safe Ganesh Utsav without inconvenience to the public.
