
Interim Bail Granted to Shivananad Neelannavar in ₹4,500 Crore Fraud Case
Belagavi: Shivananad Neelannavar, one of the key accused in the alleged ₹4,500 crore fraud case, has been granted interim bail by the 92nd City Civil
Society for Prevention of Animal Cruelty (SPCA) committees to be formed altogether districts throughout Karnataka.
Dr. Sonali Samobat, Mr. Shivanand Dambal together with Deputy Director of Animal Welfare Mr. Ashok Kolla had a discussion with Belagavi Deputy Commissioner M.G Hiremath and Belagavi City Corporation commissioner Mr. Jagadish regarding the SPCA committees to be formed in Belagavi.
The SPCA committee comprises of DC Corporation Commissioner, SP, DCP, DDPI, NGOs, Goushala pramukhs, animal activists, etc. This committee takes actions, decisions on animal welfare, and animal cruelty throughout the district.
ABC program (animal birth control) Sterilization, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, ambulance, stray dogs issues every aspect was discussed and prompt action and vigilance are assured.
Corporation Commissioner has agreed to conduct Sterilization programs within the city limits. The committee has already identified two private NGO’s for the Sterilization program. The operations are going to be conducted by ward wise bifurcation. These Operations are expected to be conducted within the next week. Mr. Shivanand Dambal, a member of AWA(Animal Welfare Association) said that the animal shelters are planned within the city.
A few days back there was news of releasing stray dogs out of the city perimeter. Regarding this Karnataka Animal Welfare Board members discussed with Corporation Commissioner Mr. Jagadish, Commissioner said no such plans are made, I am an animal lover, and thus the news is baseless. Also, members discussed the ABC program and animal shelter with Commissioner.
