Assembly Elections: Instructions to Teams of Officials to Work Briskly
Belgaum, Mar. 13 (Karnataka News): District Collector Nitesh Patil, who is also the District Election Officer, said that the teams that have already been formed in the wake of the assembly elections should come forward and work briskly.
He was presiding over the officers’ meeting held in the hall of the District Collector’s office on Monday (March 13) in view of the upcoming assembly elections.
The teams already deployed at the border checkpoints should monitor each and every vehicle.
At present, one team should operate for twenty-four hours in each police station.
He instructed that if illegal stock is found in warehouses, factories, buildings, or houses, the teams of the concerned department should conduct an inspection.
The collector said that the election officers of the assembly constituencies should also visit and check the polling booths, mustering, and de-mustering centers, check posts, and other places under their jurisdiction.
The guidelines of the Election Commission should be followed strictly. He said that care should be taken to avoid any kind of loophole.
Commissioner of Police Dr. MB Boralingaiah, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Harshal Bhoyer, District Superintendent of Police Dr. Sanjiva Patil, Deputy Forest Conservator Harshabhanu, and others were present in the meeting.
