While Mgnrega worked on the Lake provided by the Yellur Gram Panchayat, women workers of employment (MNREGA) were helping each other to remove the accumulated silty soil from the Mangai Lake of Yellur. So that there will be excess water storage in this lake during the coming monsoon and this will benefit the villagers and their animals. Yellur Grampanchyat PDO, engineer, office staff, president of elected members, members & villagers guides these ladies when they need it. Under the Guidance of Senior social workers Dr. Shivaji Kagnikar, Rahul Patil, and other activists teamwork with volunteers of the organization, they go to various villages of the district and visit the employed workers at meetings, giving them legal information about MNREGA Act and guiding them through the ‘Mazdoor Navanirman Sangh’ on how to benefit from the various schemes presented by the local Gram Panchayat.
The problems brought to the meeting of the aggrieved workers are discussed. After that, to solve these problems, efforts are made to remove the problems of MNREGA workers by giving representations to the said Gram Panchayat office, Taluk office, or Zilla Panchayat office, sometimes important issues have to be raised through marches & protests. The activists of the organization go to the employee’s work from time to time and guide them by inspecting the work conditions there. Also, free health camps are conducted for the health of women workers & their children.
