China Consul General Belagavi visit
Belagavi, March 5, 2025 – In a move to enhance India-China academic and industrial ties, Kong Xianhua, Consul-General at the Chinese Consulate in Mumbai, visited Belagavi. KLS Gogte Institute of Technology (KLS GIT) hosted the event, bringing together educational and business leaders to explore collaboration opportunities.

During his keynote address on “What is China?”, Kong Xianhua shared insights into China’s economy, culture, and global influence. Yang Xiuhua, Education Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy, highlighted research opportunities and academic exchanges. Industry leaders, including Ram Bhandare and Sudheendra Kulkarni, discussed Belagavi’s growing industrial landscape and partnership possibilities.
The China Consul General Belagavi visit attracted participation from key organizations, including the Belgaum District Small Scale Industries Association (BDSSIA), the Belgaum Chamber of Commerce & Industries, the Belgaum Foundry Cluster, and Laghu Udyog Bharati. Faculty members and students also took part in the discussions.
KLS GIT’s Principal, Dr. M.S. Patil, expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and attendees, emphasizing the significance of such international collaborations.
