Yellamma Temple Development to Be Fast-Tracked: Minister

While presiding over a progress review meeting at the Saundatti guest house, the minister carefully reviewed the Integrated Development Plan for the temple and surrounding areas. This plan includes projects funded by both a ₹100 crore special grant and the PRASAD scheme, which has allocated ₹18.37 crore toward tourism-related improvements.
Projects Under PRASAD Scheme
Specifically, the PRASAD scheme focuses on key infrastructure upgrades, such as:
- Multipurpose community halls
- Modern toilet and bathing facilities
- Tourist information centers and digital kiosks
- A primary healthcare unit
- Canteens and a waste management facility
Additions Through the ₹100 Crore Grant
Furthermore, the ₹100 crore grant will support:
- Queue complexes to better manage crowds
- Enhanced parking arrangements
- Construction of a Dasoha Bhavan (free meal center)
- Development of commercial buildings and administrative offices

Additionally, Minister Patil instructed officials to act promptly on decisions made in recent planning meetings. He underlined the importance of ensuring seamless arrangements for pilgrims, especially during peak seasons. Therefore, he called for timely improvements to darshan queues, sanitation, food services, and parking to avoid any inconvenience.
