Speaking at a press conference at Kannada Sahitya Bhavan, Belagavi, Gadad said the Legislative Assembly functioned for 63 hours and 56 minutes, while the Legislative Council met for 51 hours and 48 minutes, taking the total session time to 115 hours and 45 minutes. This translates to an average expenditure of nearly ₹24 lakh per hour, which is about ₹4 lakh more per hour compared to the 2023 session.

He stated that ₹7.83 crore was spent on accommodation across 82 hotels for dignitaries, ministers, legislators, officials and staff. Public Works Department activities, including temporary structures and seating arrangements, cost ₹4.94 crore, while food expenses exceeded ₹2.76 crore. Transport arrangements, including 75 KSRTC buses, cost ₹1.19 crore.

Police-related expenses, covering accommodation, food and CCTV surveillance, alone crossed ₹9.14 crore. Gadad criticized the expenditure, alleging that despite the high cost, the session failed to produce meaningful outcomes for development or public interest, calling it an injustice to the people of Karnataka, particularly north Karnataka.
