Belagavi: The inauguration of the statue of Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna at the lake near his samadhi, along with the bhoomi pooja for various development works, will be held on January 19 (Monday) at 12 noon at the Nandgad Rural Education Society grounds in Nandgad.

The programme will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the divine presence of Jagadguru Sri Dr. Niranjananandapuri Mahaswamiji of Sri Kaginele Kanaka Gurupitha. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Belagavi district in-charge minister Satish Jarakiholi, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, Backward Classes Welfare and Kannada & Culture Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi, and Urban Development Minister Bairathi S. Suresh will attend as chief guests.
MLA Vithal Halagekar will preside over the function. Several senior leaders, including heads of state boards and corporations, legislators from the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council, and other dignitaries from the district are expected to participate in the event.
