According to Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Roshan, special permission will now be required for any construction, commercial activity, or development project in villages located within the eco-sensitive zone surrounding the sanctuary. The affected villages include Chikhale, Gavase, Chapoli, Amgaon, Gavali, Pastoli, Kabnali, Kangla, Nersa, and Shiroli.

A monitoring committee headed by the Regional Commissioner will examine each proposal individually before granting approval. No new project can begin without the committee’s clearance.
Meanwhile, the district administration has relocated 25 families from the Talewadi forest area, while another 20 families have agreed to relocate. Officials are also discussing farmland demands raised by around 100 families in Amagon village. Public grievance meetings will be conducted in the affected villages, officials said.
