Belagavi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Belagavi district until June 11, warning of thunderstorms and scattered rainfall as monsoon activity intensifies across Karnataka.

According to the weather department, Belagavi and other parts of north interior Karnataka are likely to receive intermittent rain accompanied by thunder and lightning over the next few days. The alert comes as the southwest monsoon becomes active across the state, bringing widespread rainfall to several regions.
While coastal and Malnad districts are expected to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall, Belagavi is forecast to experience moderate rainfall and cloudy weather conditions. Residents have been advised to remain cautious during thunderstorms and stay updated with official weather advisories.
The IMD has predicted continued rainfall activity across Karnataka through the week, offering relief from rising temperatures and supporting agricultural activities in many parts of the state.
