The city has been divided into North, Central, and South zones, with separate teams assigned to each division. The teams comprise engineers, health inspectors, sanitation personnel, and support staff to ensure quick and coordinated action during emergencies.

To improve response times, BCC has established a 24×7 control room and helpline system for all three divisions. The Parks Department has also been integrated into the emergency framework, with gardeners attached to each team to promptly remove fallen trees and broken branches and restore road access.

The civic body has put in place protocols for dewatering flooded areas, desilting drains, clearing garbage, and ensuring smooth traffic movement, with special focus on flood-prone locations and major junctions across the city.

According to officials, complaints received through helplines, emergency calls, social media, or direct communication will be immediately forwarded to the concerned response teams for swift action.

Additionally, BCC has made night duty mandatory from 8 pm to 8 am, with engineers, health inspectors, sanitation supervisors, and support staff deployed across all divisions during the monsoon season.

The round-the-clock preparedness system aims to ensure timely intervention, reduce disruptions, and safeguard residents during adverse weather conditions.
