According to the state agriculture department, 41,459 farmers in Belagavi did not receive the ₹2,000 instalment released by the Centre on June 20. Of the district’s 5,37,165 eligible beneficiaries, 22,561 are yet to complete their e-KYC, while 18,898 have not linked their Aadhaar numbers with their bank accounts.

Belagavi was followed by Tumakuru (41,082) and Bidar (29,910) in the number of affected beneficiaries.

Across Karnataka, there are 46,69,841 eligible PM-KISAN beneficiaries. Among them, 3,80,428 farmers have pending e-KYC, while 2,27,384 have not linked their Aadhaar with their bank accounts, making them ineligible to receive the latest instalment.

The Karnataka Agriculture Department has directed field-level officials to intensify awareness campaigns and help farmers complete the required formalities.

Joint Director of Agriculture H.D. Kolekar assured that farmers who missed the latest instalment will receive their pending payments in the next cycle after completing e-KYC and Aadhaar-bank account linkage.

Farmers can complete e-KYC online through the PM-KISAN portal or mobile app using Aadhaar-linked mobile OTP, or by visiting Common Service Centres (CSCs) or State Service Centres (SSCs) for biometric authentication.
