Jarkiholi Inspects Drought-Hit Areas, Orders Crop Survey

Belagavi: Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi on Sunday toured drought-affected areas of Yaragatti and Ramdurg taluks to assess crop damage caused by inadequate rainfall.

During his visit, Jarkiholi interacted with farmers and inspected damaged green gram, groundnut, maize, black gram, cotton, tur and onion crops across several villages.

He directed agriculture and revenue officials to conduct a thorough ground-level assessment of crop losses and ensure that affected farmers receive relief as per government norms.

The minister inspected farms in Kurabagatti, Itnal, Hulakund, Chippalakatti, Bijaguppi and Kadampur villages. Farmers briefed him about crop losses and the difficulties caused by the dry spell.

Jarkiholi instructed officials to accurately record the extent of damage and initiate necessary relief measures without delay.

MLAs Ashok Pattan and Vishwas Vaidya, NWKRTC Vice-President Sunil Hanumannavar, Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Roshan, ZP CEO Rahul Shinde, SP Ramarajan K and senior agriculture and revenue officials were present during the tour.
