One fine day, while in one of such conversations, I heard a story that registered in my mind. Couldn’t believe that who I saw just as kids, could have such unbelievable thoughts. We grown-up have grown too selfish, but the goodness is still not lost.
They were holding a paper what looked like a letter, when I enquired about it, they refused to show me. But when I constantly kept on asking for it, finally they gave and what I saw blew my mind, it was a form to confirm the participation of the kids in saving the Street Dogs.
The effect of the pandemic shattered lives, people were worried about different things, the kids more or less happy because schools were shut but the thought process of these kids was on another level, what haunted them were the thoughts of their tiny friends, the lockdown had starved them.
So they made a group and decided to serve the dogs, they collected money, collected the leftover foods from houses and made it a mission to serve the dogs.
And have been serving since then, now it’s become a mission for them, a dream to serve the needy dogs. They are now looking forward to build a house for all the stray dogs to make sure no dog sleeps hungry. And no dog suffers because of lack of resources. They are just kids who we grownups need to learn from.
Nishchal, Prajakta, Raghavendra, Rohit, Nihal, Shourya, Anirudh were the pioneers to start this mission, now a few more kids from their locality have joined hands with them. Let’s learn from these kids how to make little changes, to make a huge difference!
