In our country like India having such a big number of population approximately around 137 Cr, which is increasing day by day. But, it’s a big question that arises whether the females are safe? Educated (sex education)? This answer is quite difficult for everyone to answer.
We come across so many news feeds daily about assault, trafficking, drugs, molestation and the number goes on…but are we ourselves actually aware of what actually is happening around us with women??
It has become a normal feed to hear and read such cases happening daily in our country, and now the same is rising in our city too, it’s sad to hear this.
In the beginning of the February 7th, APMC police Inspector Javed Mushapuri and team had conducted a raid on a house at Sadashiv Nagar, and had rescued two women who had allegedly been forced into prostitution.
As the reports, both the women had been kept at the Women Welfare Society’s Ujwala Women Protection and Rehabilitation Centre. The girls were counselled by the project officer Surekha Patil and with the help of the police succeeded in getting the address of one of them and intimated the concerned police station.
The women whose identification was confirmed had been kidnapped from Ghaziabad in the year 2017, and a case has been filed with Ghaziabad police. The father of the rescued women along with the Ghaziabad police arrived at the APMC Police Station on Tuesday. The women was handed over to her father safely and they proceeded towards their home state.
Police Commissioner Dr.K Thiyagarajan and Deputy Commisioner of Police (Law and Order) Dr. Vikram Amathe complimented APMC Police and Ujwala Women Protection and Rehabilitation Centre for their exemplary work with regard to this case.
We request, each and every citizen of Belagavi to please be aware about such miscellaneous things happening in and around the surrounding. This will help us to keep our women safe. If any leads found should be informed to the respected area police station or reach us as a platform with proper proofs to save, protect and stop crimes against women.
