The big project of doubling of tracks to supply big Indian Railway infrastructure boost in Karnataka is going down. Accordingly, the Railway Minister Piyush Goyal inaugurated the new Railway projects within the state.
The Railway Ministry made it a transparent statement saying that doubling of rail track from Gubbi to Nittur could be a a part of a bigger vision to double the Arsikere-Tumukuru railway line on the Bengaluru – Hubbali line.
The ongoing larger project between the Londa-Miraj 186 kms long project are going to be completed within the next two years in keeping with the officials. Besides, Goyal came up with various new railway projects to make sure an honest experience for all the railway passengers.
Some of the projects by the Railway Minister in Karnataka:
1. Line doubling done between 9 kms long Gubbi-Nittur stretch, which could be a a part of the doubling project between Arsikere and Tumukuru (96 kms) on the Bengaluru – Hubbali railway line. The estimated cost sanctioned for this project is approx 783 Cr. the price of Gubbi and Nittur doubling section is approx 75.5 Cr.
2. Line doubling done between Chikkodi and Raibag (14 kms stretch) which comes under the doubling project between Londa and Miraj on the Hubballi-Miraj railway line. The estimated cost is approx 1191 Cr. This project once completed will give impetus to railway infrastructure within the district of Belagavi.
Additionally, all the specified facilities and amenities , shelter for the passengers are going to be done. The handling of train services has also been optimized by the national transporter with the supply of latest signaling system in addition as indigeniously developed state-of-the-art electronic interlocking.
