Belagavi is under heavy security as the 14th Winter Session of the Karnataka Legislature begins at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha. Nearly 10,000 personnel, including 6,000 police, have been deployed across the area, with most arriving over the weekend and assigned to duty.

To support the session, over 500 labourers have been engaged for maintenance, cleaning, and food services. Around 3,000 rooms have been reserved in government quarters, guesthouses, universities, lodges, marriage halls, and rented apartments to accommodate officials for the 12-day session.
With the venue located 12 km from Belagavi city, more than 500 vehicles—70% hired from private operators—have been arranged for daily travel. Two helipads, one at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha and another at Kumaraswamy Layout, have been prepared for ministers and MLAs.
