In a letter addressed to IndiGo officials, Shettar highlighted that the airline previously operated two daily flights on the route—one in the morning and another in the evening. However, from June 16, the schedule has reportedly been revised, with morning services operating on four days a week and evening services on the remaining three days.
According to the MP, the revised timetable has created difficulties for regular commuters, including doctors, lawyers, businesspersons, students, educationists and government officials who depend on the air service for timely travel between the two cities.

Shettar noted that there has been a growing demand from passengers to restore the earlier flight pattern and requested the airline to reinstate both morning and evening services on a daily basis.
The Belagavi-Bengaluru air route is considered an important connectivity link for business, education and administrative travel, and passengers have expressed concern over the reduced flexibility caused by the revised schedule.
