According to WHO (World Health Organization) there are approximately 120 million smokers in India. Talking about Belgaum there are non-smoking accommodations like Fairfield by Marriot, UK 27 The Fern etc. But in the outside we find a lot of smokers who are damaging their own health and also they are risking the lives of the loved ones. Some of the measures should be taken in order to prevent smoking. The smokers just smoke a cigarette for either enjoyment or for peace but they don’t have any idea about how it’s affecting at an extreme level inside their body. Nowadays there are some medicines which will prevent a smoker from smoking but the smokers are not ready to consume those medicines. On October 8th 2008 smoking in public areas was prohibited nationwide. Due to this it was some kind of release for the non-smokers and also the public. Well we are still in that positive thinking that one day the whole nation will be “SMOKING FREE NATION” and that amount should be invested in other development of the Nation.
